Of course I can greatly relate! You have nailed something we all need to heed. Keep on doing that! Too often we grasp the reigns too tightly and refuse to give control to the One who already knows the answers, the oucome, and has the absolute RIGHT to claim ALL of the glory. Freedomcomes from a simple concept, surrender. Simple concept, difficult execution; interesting word, execution. It is as much an act as it is final. It is what we do to our spirit when we attempt to control our destiny. John 15:1-7 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. ... <br />Being powerless is the greatest power of all: remianing attached to the Vine.

Comment on The Art of Missing

Wow! This one got me. A fav. phrase "seize the day"comes to mind. None of us are really able to seize our moments as we sometimes would like. They slide through our fingers like sand. We cannot capture a particular sunrise, or sunset, or moonglow, or loving moment. But, we can drink them in deeply as they come and smile at the faint feeling of them when they are gone. We can remember that they made us reach beyond ourselves in those moments to touch our hearts forever.

Comment on The Art of Missing

I hear your pain, and I ask God to hold you in His arms, to give you strength. I love you and wish I could hold you myself. Time heals - time softens. This is how you truly know she left a mark on this world. I can only hope that when I close my eyes and awake to see Jesus, that I will have left the same amazing marks upon this world. Smiles, tears, giggles, and memories, are her way of reminding you she loved you very much.

Comment on Be One of the Kind

My friend, what amazing words, touch my heart, soul, and mind. Our memories become a part of us to use daily as comfort and as learning tools for the present. This is truly God's story with us. He loves us through it all and wants us to succeed, and He spotlights our good intentions and our hearts above all else. Mothers read hearts and so does God.

</rdf:RDF>
